Supervision is a crucial element of coaching practice.
It ensures we provide the best service to our clients by helping us develop and maintain an ethical, effective and reflective coaching practice.
What are the benefits of supervision?
Supervision provides you with a safe and confidential space to support you in your work as a Maternity Coach.
The Global Code of Ethics for Coaches, Mentors and Supervisors lists Supervision as key to maintaining ‘Excellent Practice’.
Supervision as a Coach can help you:
- Analyse client cases to think about new techniques or interventions to try
- Reflect on your thought processes and assumptions and help identify any blind spots
- Explore challenges with clients from contracting to ethical issues
- Deepen your self-awareness and reflect on your responses to clients and their issues
- Think through alternative solutions to challenging and complex client issues
- Celebrate your achievements
- Meet your membership requirements for your professional body
It is a collaborative process that can boost your confidence and competence in your coaching practice.
